HAMILTON —

Two men were arrested after allegedly breaking into a Hamilton home brandishing police battalions and a gun, according to the Hamilton Police Department.

Nicholas R. Fagaly, 32, of Fairfield and Josue Rodriguez Jr., 37, of Hamilton, were both charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and two counts of kidnapping, said Sgt. David Collins of the Hamilton Police Department.

Police received a 911 call at 12:14 p.m. Friday that said two men wearing ski masks and armed with battalions and guns had forced entry into a Lindenwald residence at 2925 Freeman Ave., threatening the two people inside the home, Collins said.

Upon forcing their way inside, one of the men stated “Where is my (expletive)?” and began striking one of the home’s residents with the baton, according to the police report. The men allegedly stole two cell phones before another person arrived at the home and the assailants fled, the report said.

The men had already fled the scene by the time Hamilton police arrived, but were soon apprehended with the assistance of the Fairfield Police Department and the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Police did not comment on the condition of the person hit with the baton or how they found the two suspects.

The incident remains under investigation.
