Walmart Pickup Tower to also debut at the Fairfield Twp. location this month.

There are nearly a dozen changes to better your shopping experience at the newly remodeled Walmart Supercenter in Fairfield Twp.

“Listening to customers and incorporating the products and experiences they want is what it means to be a store of the community,” Michael Jodrey, manager of the store at 3201 Princeton Road, said.

The remodel includes:

  • Interactive displays in the electronics department that allow customers to try laptops, tablets and other technology
  • Expanded selection of power tools in the hardware department

  • Redesigned baby and toddler department
  • 15 additional self-checkouts
  • The addition of a mother's room for nursing moms
  • Redesigned home department with additional merchandise choices
  • Remodeled pharmacy with private consultation room
  • New, free-standing Walmart MoneyCenter offering financial services
  • Brighter lighting in the produce department
  • New fixtures and displays in the bakery department

This month, the Fairfield Twp. store will also debut a Walmart Pickup Tower, the second in Ohio. The first one in the state debuted in Middletown last month.

The 16-foot tall, 8-foot wide structures function like high-tech vending machines and can fulfill a customer’s online order in less than one minute, according to Walmart officials.
