Neighbors cheer Middletown police for making drug arrests

Neighbors cheered and applauded Middletown police officers after they arrested residents from a “problem house,” according to a police report.

Five people were arrested after police responded Wednesday night to a residence in the 2300 block of Flemming Road, the report said.

Shane Ashley, 37, of Flemming Road, was charged with drug abuse/heroin after police found 0.4 grams that tested positive for heroin and fentanyl, according to the police report. The drugs were found in Ashley’s front pocket, according to the report.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

Corey Young, 29, of Trenton, was charged with public indecency after he alleged exposed himself near a bus stop. He allegedly was seen dropping his shorts and underwear, exposing his genitalia and waving, according to police. Children were getting off the school bus at the time of the alleged incident, a witness told police.

Young told police that his pants fell to the ground, but his underwear didn’t come off.

Others arrested this week include:

Matthew West, 30, of Flemming Road, was booked for an arrest warrant out of Miami County.

Natasha Harrison, 25, of Middletown, was booked under her arrest warrant for breaking and entering.

Ryan Cox, 25, of Middletown, was booked for failure to appear for petty theft.
