Must-see: Massive fire in Los Angeles shuts down parts of 2 major freeways


A massive fire broke out in downtown Los Angeles early Monday, destroying an apartment complex, damaging two other buildings and shutting down parts of two major freeways.

According to the Los Angeles Times and RT, more than 250 firefighters were at the scene of the blaze, which began about 1:20 a.m. PT at an apartment complex under construction.

The news outlets reported that the 101 Freeway was closed in both directions, and lanes between the 110 and 101 also were closed.

Fire officials were investigating the cause of the blaze. No injuries were reported.
