Drone video of sheep herding gains international attention

A drone photographer's hypnotic aerial footage of sheep being herded on a New Zealand farm has attracted international attention.

Tim Whittaker used his drone to film the sheep while carrying out an assignment for an industry marketing agency. He was initially asked to take still photos of the sheep but decided to record video.

"The original brief was to get stills, but I just thought [the sheep make] crazy patterns from the sky, so I may as well just run some video while we're doing it," Whittaker told The Sydney Morning Herald.

The sheep move in the video like swirling clouds as they move from one paddock to the other with the help of well trained dogs.

His video was picked up later by The Telegraph newspaper out of the United Kingdom.

The video can be seen here.
