Belgian media identified two suicide bombers involved in Tuesday's terrorist attacks in Brussels as police reportedly arrested a third suspect.
According to Belgian state broadcaster RTBF, police said Khalid and Brahim El Bakraoui blew themselves up in the deadly attacks. Belgian media also reported that a third man, suspected bomb-maker Najim Laachraoui, was in police custody, but some outlets withdrew news of the arrest. Belgium's federal prosecutor later said Laachraoui is still at large.
Two explosions ripped through the Brussels Airport early Tuesday, and a blast also rocked the Maalbeek Metro station near the European Union headquarters. At least 31 people were killed and 270 were injured in the attacks.
The attacks came just days after the main suspect in the Paris attacks, Salah Abdeslam, was arrested in Brussels.
The city has raised its terror alert to the highest level, and other major cities and airports in Europe and the U.S. are also increasing security in wake of the attacks.
