It looks like Kim Davis’ 15 minutes of fame are not quite over yet.
The Associated Press reports that Davis, the Kentucky clerk who made headlines in 2015 for refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses, will attend President Barack Obama’s final State of the Union.
Davis refused to issue the licenses after the Supreme Court's landmark decision which made same-sex marriages legal throughout the country. She spent time in jail for defying the court order, and became a hero of the conservative movement.
Davis’ lawyer told The AP that he will join Davis in the House chamber "to stand for religious freedom and to represent Judeo-Christian values."
According to reports, House Freedom Caucus Chariman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, invited Kim Davis to the high-profile political event.
The news spread quickly on social media.
