FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Convicted Florida Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein will give another round of sworn testimony about the inner workings of his $1.2 billion fraud.

A federal judge in Fort Lauderdale ordered a chance for more lawyers to question Rothstein under oath. The 49-year-old disbarred lawyer sat for a 10-day grilling late last year by attorneys representing wronged investors.

The bankruptcy trustee overseeing Rothstein's now-defunct law firm says a second 10-day deposition is needed for that case. The trustee is attempting to locate profits from the scam that can be returned to investors.

Rothstein is serving a 50-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to running the scheme involving investments in phony legal settlements. His cooperation could result in sentence reduction.
