Middletown man charged with drug trafficking in court

The case of one man charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs was bound over to the Butler County Grand Jury on Wednesday night.

Ramon Sanchez-Reyes, 27, speaking through an interpretor, told visiting Judge Thomas Hanna in Middletown Municipal Court that he waived his right to a preliminary hearing and the case was sent to the grand jury. His bond remained at $200,000.

The other man charged with the same crimes, Francisco Torres-Davila, 33, is scheduled to have his preliminary hearing Friday in Middletown court.

Members of the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce (B.U.R.N.) arrested the two Middletown men last week and charged them with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, methamphetamine, first-degree felonies. Agents located a pound of methamphetamine in the back seat of the vehicle, they said.
