Middletown judge’s death ruled accidental; cardiovascular event

UPDATE @ 4:20 p.m.: Judge Mark Wall's death has been ruled accidental and it was caused by a cardiovascular event and fall with head trauma, according to the Butler County Coroner's Office.

An autopsy was performed today.

He died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday.

UPDATE @ 11:30 a.m.:

The Ohio Supreme Court has appointed three retired judges to hear the cases of Judge Mark W. Wall, who died Saturday.

Those judges are Robert Messham, Tom Hanna and Mel Kemmer.

Court is continuing this week dependant on funeral arrangements for Wall, according to court administrator Steve Longworth.

Flags outside the Middletown City Building are at half staff after the death Saturday of Municipal Court Judge Mark W. Wall.

Wall, 70, was a lifelong resident of the Middletown area. He was found at home shortly before 6 p.m. Feb. 11 and is believed to have died of natural causes.
