Looking for a new job? Bioscience career fair today in Mason

The 11th annual Ohio Bioscience Career Fair–Southwest Region Career Fair will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. today, Feb. 16, at the Mason Municipal Building, 6000 Mason Montgomery Road.

The event is designed to match job seekers with Ohio’s growing biomedical organizations, according to city officials.

Employers in the biotech, pharmaceutical, research and development, and medical device industries will be among the more than 150 businesses at the event for new graduates or those looking for a new career path. .

The event is coordinated by BioOhio, the lead organization for the bioscience community and a key strategic partner of the City of Mason in its initiative to drive a biohealth economy.

Mason Mayor Victor Kidd said city officials have taken a “holistic approach” to growing a biohealth hub in Mason.

“Our partnerships with companies like Assurex Health and AtriCure are part of our strategy to ensure our science community is growing and has the right talent resources to do so,” Kidd said in a statement.

Assurex Health, which focuses on molecular diagnostics and personalized medicine, was acquired in 2016 by Myriad Genetics.
