State Route 129 east, just east of the Erie Highway, will remain shut down at least two hours following a single-vehicle accident that left a telephone phone broken and the driver in a hospital.
A full-size pickup truck veered right at about 8:48 Friday night and hit the roadside pole, sheering it off, Hamilton police said.
The driver, whose name and age have not been released, was taken to Fort Hamilton hospital. His condition was not known.
No other vehicles were involved, police said.
At 10:20 p.m., a police dispatcher said eastbound 129 will be shut down at least two hours.
