StarTek holding online career fair for 100 new jobs

StarTek Hamilton will hire an additional 100 customer service representatives for a major cellphone provider and continues to negotiate for more, company officials said.

“Hiring would begin next month and would peak at the end of the spring in order to fulfill our client’s needs,” said Greg Austin, StarTek’s recruiting manager. “We are currently at about 300 employees today and with this new line of business would be at 400 or higher.”

To fulfill current hiring needs and prepare for its client, StarTek is holding two hiring events in the next week.

StarTek Inc. is a large, third-party call center company headquartered in Denver, Colo., with 22 Engagement Centers in five countries and more than 13,000 employees. It aims to protect and extend the brand of many companies globally in telecommunications, cable, healthcare, IT, retail, education and non-profit.

StarTek in January announced it would hire 200 employees in three months, and Austin said the company already has hired 108 of them across three separate lines of business, most for a new healthcare insurance client since that announcement was made.
