Nick and Drew Lachey are asking the public for help and answers after a woman who works at their sports bar was shot in the face on Thanksgiving Day morning.
A fund has been set up to help Elizabeth “Ellie” Richardson, a 27-year-old newly-engaged mother.
The YouCaring crowdfund page reads:
Ellie sustained injuries to her face and jaw resulting from a shooting that occurred early on Thanksgiving morning. She's in stable condition, but it's still unclear how long she'll be in the hospital and what her recovery process will entail. Funds from this campaign will go toward her medical expenses and help support her and her family until she's back on her feet. Any amount is sincerely appreciated, and we want this to reach as many people as possible so please feel free to share!
Richardson works at Lachey's, a sports bar Nick and Drew Lachey co-own in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine.
Richardson was near the bar, the setting of A&E’s 2015 reality series “Lachey’s: Raising the Bar,” when she was shot from the window of a van while walking across th the street at 3 a.m., according to reporters on Cincinnati’s WCPO and other news websites.
The Lacheys hail from Cincinnati.
“Please help Ellie and her family get through this most difficult time. Thank you!!” Nick Lachey wrote in a Twitter post, where he also shared a link to the YouCaring campaign seeking $50,000.
