Middletown orchestra to hold last-ever concert

The Middletown Symphony Orchestra will perform its final concert at 2:30 p.m. May 7 at Dave Finkelman Auditorium, Miami University Middletown, 4200 N. University Blvd.

The symphony’s board decided last year that the 2016-17 concert season would be the final one for the organization anc conclude with the end of musical programs in May.

The first half of the program will celebrate musical selections including a Mozart symphony, the William Tell Overture and the Bolero that was performed at the first concert. The orchestra will close the 75th anniversary season with a suite of music from “The Umbrella of Cherbourg.”

Carmon DeLeone will also be congratulated on his 35 years with Middletown Symphony Orchestra during the event.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for students.
