Alex Johnson, 30, was driving a Pontiac G6 east on the parkway (Ohio 73) in the westbound lanes when Johnson apparently lost control of his car and hit a Dodge Avenger near Eldora Drive.
The accident occurred just after 5:30 p.m., according to the patrol, which released a statement about the accident just after 10 p.m.
Johnson died at the scene, according to the patrol.
Michael Lidstone, 45, of Franklin, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
