Ex-Fairfield city manager Art Pizzano to speak on city’s history

Former long-time Fairfield City Manager Art Pizzano will be the featured speaker at the Fairfield Historical Society meeting on April 4 at the Elisha Morgan Mansion, 6181 Ross Road at Gilbert Park.

Pizzano will be sharing memories of the city that he led from 1998-2015.

During his tenure the city developed Village Green, opened the Fairfield Community Arts Center, constructed the Fairfield Criminal Justice Center and a police headquarters, moved the fire department from using volunteers to establishing full-time fire fighters and medics, and oversaw the expansion of the city’s recreational offerings among other events.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
