Experts weigh in on heroin epidemic at West Chester event

A panel of experts from West Chester Twp. will talk about the impact addiction has on the community and education and prevention efforts during an event tonight.

Heroin: A Community Conversation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the West Chester Activity Center, 7900 Cox Road.

Speakers scheduled to appear include:

  • Sgt. James Brenner, Special Investigations Unit with the West Chester Police Department
  • Capt. Troy Bonfield, Emergency Medical Services with the West Chester Fire Department
  • Nicholas Filippini, Intervention Supervisor from Butler County Children Services
  • Greg Corban, Behavioral Health Educator at Community First Solutions
  • Cheryl Leksan, Associate Director of Online and Hybrid Nursing Programs and the ABSN Program at Xavier University
