“There were delays in getting in,” said spokesman Roger Doctor. “So far, we’ve been able to park everyone on pavement.”
Jennifer Sheridan, 36, came to the air show with her son, Jerry, 11 as she has for years.
Sheridan said it was harder to find a parking spot this year because of the alternative parking.
“It was a little tougher,” she said.
But she did not complain about the wait, estimating it was about 15 minutes or so when she arrived at 11 a.m..
Doctor also said the air show has not received word yet if the Thunderbirds will perform Sunday at the air show. The team canceled a Saturday performance after a two-seat Thunderbird F-16D jet went off a runway at Dayton International Airport and flipped upside down Friday.

The pilot and a Thunderbird crew member were trapped until freed by first responders. The crew was reported in good condition.
