MASON — Four doctors at the Frances and Craig Lindner Center of HOPE have been ranked among the best doctors in the nation and among the top specialists in the area in The Best Doctors in America 2011-2012 database.
Those named include Dr. Paul E. Keck Jr., president and chief executive officer of Lindner Center of Hope; Dr. Michael A. Keys, director of senior adult psychiatry at the Lindner Center; Dr. Susan L. McElroy, chief research officer for the Lindner Center; and Anne Marie O’Melia, medical director of The Harold C. Schott Foundation Eating Disorders Program at the Lindner Center, according to a news release from the facility.
Lindner Center of HOPE is a nonprofit mental health facility. It provides psychiatric hospitalization, outpatient services for all ages, research and voluntary, residential services.
Keck is a renowned psychiatrist and researcher in bipolar disorder and psychopharmacology. He was the seventh-most cited scientist in the world published in the fields of psychiatry and psychology over the last decade, according to the Lindner Center.
Keys is a regionally respected expert in geriatric psychiatry who also is a member of several national and international psychiatric associations and editorial boards.
McElroy is internationally known for her research in bipolar disorder, eating disorders, obesity, impulse control disorders and pharmacology.
O’Melia specializes in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Board certified in pediatrics and psychiatry, she also has subspecialty board certifications in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine, according to the release.
This is the third consecutive year these doctors were included in this database. All four physicians hold faculty appointments with the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and are part of UC Physicians.
