Milestones

Fairfield resident Bessie Bingham Sult observed her 101st birthday Oct. 4. Bessie was born to the late Barbara and William Sandlin Oct. 4, 1911. Bessie was employed at Wilmurs and Elder Beerman. Bessie has two children, Verla Weldon and the late Ruth Church. Bessie is grandmother to six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Hamilton resident Eugene “Knute” Wagonfield will observe his 90th birthday Nov. 6. Eugene was born to the late Norma and Clyde Wagonfield Nov. 6, 1922 in Darrtown. Eugene, a graduate of Stewart High School, is the owner of Wagonfield Brother’s Construction Co. Eugene married Julia “Vikie” Jan. 23, 1943. Eugene has two children, Dan (Bonnie) and Mike (Janette). Eugene is grandfather to five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Eugene’s most memorable experience was being inducted into the Butler County Softball Hall of Fame.
