Holtman’s Donuts sets opening date for new Butler County location

The wait will soon be over!

Holtman's Donuts, a family doughnut bakery more than a half-century old, has announced its first Butler County location will open Sept. 9.

A grand opening is planned for 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, the doughnut shop announced on its Facebook page.

The business will open at 9558 Civic Center Blvd. in the Streets of West Chester development near soon-to-open Matt the Miller’s Tavern and the new Chuy’s Tex Mex and Duluth Trading Co.

Established in 1960 by Charles Holtman, Holtman’s Donuts is now operated by his daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Chuck Plazarin.

Other locations include Loveland, Williamsburg and Over-the-Rhine, where doughnuts and other items are made fresh and from scratch on a daily basis, according to the business.

BuzzFeed recently named Holtman's the best doughnut shop in Ohio, and television personality and food show presenter Alton Brown placed the business in his list of "Favorite Doughnuts in the U.S."

Now, how long will it take for Holtman’s to secure a spot on the Butler County Donut Trail?
