4 Hamilton road projects that will affect your drive this week

Drivers should be aware of several road closures that may impact their drive through Hamilton this week:

Arlington Avenue will be closed between Hayes and Andover avenues, while Hayes Avenue will be shut down between River Road and Arlington Avenue to through traffic until daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Dec. 8.

The intersection of Arlington and St. Clair avenues will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily beginning Monday through Wednesday. The work will be for the Arlington Avenue Water Main Replacement project for water main and water service installation, according to the city.

Neilan Boulevard will have intermittent lane restrictions between Knightsbridge Drive and Pershing Avenue daily until Friday. The northbound Neilan Boulevard lane restrictions will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. Southbound Neilan lane restrictions will start at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. These lane restrictions are necessary to paint existing streetlight poles on Neilan, as part of the 2017 pole painting contract, according to the city

Fairgrove Avenue (Ohio 4) from North Fair Avenue to North Eastview Parkway will have lane restrictions daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Nov. 3. Two-way traffic on Fairgrove Avenue will be maintained at all times. The lane restrictions are necessary to safely install gas main, gas services and perform restoration as part of the 2017 Miscellaneous Gas Main Replacement Project, according to the city.
