LEBANON — A Warren County grand jury has indicted a Somerville woman accused of assaulting a Middletown firefighter.
Police said just after 8:30 p.m. June 16, Toni L. King, 48, punched a firefighter several times and tried to bite a paramedic attempting to treat King outside Applebee’s, 3240 Towne Blvd.
Officer Kenneth King initially responded on a report of woman causing a disturbance prior to the fire squad’s arrival.
An intoxicated Toni King clutched her chest and slid down the back of the officer’s cruiser as he questioned her. She hit her head on the pavement and attacked medical staff when they attempted to help her, police said.
King’s indictment was released Monday, July 27.
Aside from the fourth-degree felony charge, she also was indicted on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge for intoxication.
