LEBANON — A Loveland Sunday school teacher could face 20 years in prison if he is found guilty of sex acts with a teen boy.
A Warren County grand jury indicted Daniel Earl Webster, 41, of Loveland, on two counts of sexual battery and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. All the counts are third-degree felonies, according to Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell.
He said the fact Webster is at least 10 years older than the accuser enhanced the charge.
“It affects the level of the felony on the unlawful sexual conduct,” he said. “It takes it up to an F-3.”
Webster was arrested Jan. 27 after an investigation into an allegation that he had performed sex acts on a 16-year-old family friend, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
The acts allegedly occurred when the boy was 15 and continued for about a year, according to reports. Webster was the boy’s Sunday school teacher at Life Adventure Church in Lebanon, however Fornshell said the incidents were not alleged to have happened at the church.
Webster faces a possible five-year sentence on each charge.
As of Monday afternoon, Webster was still being held at the Warren County Jail on a $150,000 bond. No court date has yet been set.
