HAMILTON — Don’t put that shovel, snowblower or sore back medicine away just yet.

Area residents dug out of more than 6 inches of snow that fell Friday night and Saturday morning, Feb. 5-6, and additional accumulation is expected early this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Meteorologist Don Hughes said the snow should return Monday, Feb. 8, while unseasonably cold temperatures will remain for the rest of the week.

Numerous accidents were blamed on the slick roads Friday and Saturday, according to area police departments and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. None of the accidents were life-threatening, dispatchers said.

While Butler County and Warren County cancelled Level 1 snow advisories early this afternoon, Feb. 7, Preble County downgraded its Level 3 advisory to a Level 1 advisory.

A Level 3 advisory means all roads in the county are closed to nonemergency personnel, and anyone traveling on the roads is subject to arrest. Level 1 meaning drivers are urged to be cautious on area roadways.

haha that was funnie. if you can't deal with mother nature, there is always plan B which is to move away. Well according to ground hog day, i think there are going to be 6 more weeks of winter, so you got like 6 more weeks to deal with it. This is way off topic. Well it is unfortunate that the snow is causing problem, but its life and life is full of problems and we just got to simply solve them.

To nunya b.....OMG i touched a nerve.
Are you one of the lazy drivers I am talking about ?
I know it only happens in winter so they do it slowly. I see the trucks sitting. Do you ?
Or are u the driver
If not, it is NYB.
Touched a nerve didn't I . Good.
Maybe someone will get off their butts and find out why.
I have learned to prepare to be without electric and snow removal.
I can survive it, some can't.
They have salt, trucks & drivers, get-r-done or get new drivers.
Need a job ?
