A Warren County grand jury indicted a brother and sister on aggravated robbery charges.

The siblings, Robert Thomas, 39 of Mason and his sister, 41-year-old Kristine Lobaugh of West Chester Twp., allegedly robbed the Mason Beer Drive Thru at 117 Reading Road, just before 9 a.m. June 1.

Lobaugh allegedly served as a distraction during the incident, while Thomas grabbed about $10,000, authorities said.

An employee at the business told police he was tending to a woman in a vehicle when a man walked into the business carrying a silver pistol.

The man allegedly walked into office/register area and retrieved a green bank zipper bag with between $10,000 and $12,000 in it and walked out, police said.

If found guilty of the first-degree felony, the pair could be sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay $20,000 fines, according to Warren County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Matt Nolan.

Mason spokeswoman Jennifer Trepal said Thomas also is a suspect in a robbery that occurred on Nov. 25, 2007, at the same business.

Police interviewed Lobaugh following the robbery and asked if she could identify him as the offender. Instead, Lobaugh immediately identified her brother by name.

Lobaugh said she picked up her brother at a neighborhood park following the incident and drove him to a convenience store, according to reports.

She told police Thomas said money from the incident would be placed in a sewing kit in her craft room, where it was later recovered by police. Lobaugh said she did not know her brother had a gun.

Thomas remains in custody while Lobaugh posted an unspecified bond in Mason Municipal Court.
