Chevy made a 302 in 68 and/or 69 and put it in Z/28 Camaros and yes they did make a 307 as well but the 307 was not considered a "preformance" engine.Sorry but Im right on this one.

just what I want, pay $14000 for a drug dealers car, he gets out of jail in 6 months. Then he can come shoot me and take it back....great concept. I wonder if there is anything set up to protect the identities of the winners or must their identity be revealed?

I am a Liberty junkie. I love Liberty. If someone wants to snort Drain-O, coke, or shoot junk into their arms, what business is it of mine or yours? If you don't like drugs, don't take them. I don't and wouldn't. The Drug War is a hopeless folly. We aren't winning. We're spending too much money to lock people up for drug usage.

Jones is nothing but a media whore. He will do anything to get publicity. He and Warren Countys Rachel Hutzel are two of a kind.

Jesse believe it or not Chevy did make a 302 engine in 68 and 69 if its the original engine in this camaro. And if so it would make it a very rare car hence the 14,000.00 bidding and will probably go a lot higher.

Uncle Andy what do you think drug dealers do?Its not candy that they are selling our loved ones.We need our laws enforced. And to the comments about the photo ops for Sheriff Jones thats not what I got out of the pictures at all my first thought was that he sent a clear message to the drug dealers in the county that says...I will take your stuff if we catch you.Great job to Sheriff Jones and his department,we need more people like him in this world.

While I greatly admire Sheriff Jones, and he isn't doing anything other law enforcement agencies aren't engaging in nationwide, I can't help but bristle at the notion government is making money by seizing the private property of citizens engaged in acts which aren't hurting anybody. So what, someone wants to take drugs? Is it worth spending $40,000 a year, per inmate to keep them locked up? That huge expense is justified because some loser wants to snort some powder? I don't think so.

Now i have to wonder why some idiot would put a 302 (Ford) in a "canary yellow 1969 Chevrolet Camaro"? I bet that same idiot is also the one that has bid $14,500 so far.

How dpes sheriff Jones justify a new task force as the county and city police and firefighters cut thier budgets?
