MONROE - Easy store access, various discounts and an assortment of upscale stores are just a few of the things shoppers will find at a new outlet center near Ohio 63 in Monroe.

Cincinnati Premium Outlets will open to the public with extended hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 6-8, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9.

The 400,000-square-foot outlet center features a racetrack design, which is meant to provide easy access to the stores that include designer fashions and sportswear, shoes, childrens’ items, fine leather and luggage, accessories and jewelry, housewares and home furnishings, gifts and specialty items and food.

Chelsea Property Group officials say the racetrack design does not require a shuttle because everything is in one big circle. Shoppers can park close to their favorite stores.

There will be plenty of parking — including handicap parking — to accommodate shoppers, said Michele Rothstein, senior vice president of marketing for Chelsea Property Group.

Some of the 100 designer and name brand outlet stores the mall will feature include Banana Republic, Coach, Cole Haan, J. Crew, Kenneth Cole, Michael Kors, Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren.

The outlet center’s two anchor stores, Saks Fifth Avenue Off Fifth and HanesBrands.

Shoppers can expect to find savings of 25 percent to 65 percent every day on some of the most popular brands out there, she said.

“It is a different shopping experience as well. The center is outdoors with protected walkways and a lovely ambiance. We feel we have brought together some of our top merchants,” Rothstein said.

Shoppers will be able to catch some special deals only offered during the grand opening weekend, she said.

“There is a lot of excitement at a grand opening and many of the special deals are just for those four days so we highly recommend people coming out for opening weekend,” Rothstein said.

Some of the festivities planned for the grand opening are a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Aug. 6, live entertainment and store promotions.

Shoppers also will be able to enter to win more than 140 prizes including a $5,000 shopping spree, and sign up for Chelsea Property Group’s VIP Shopper Club for online access to exclusive savings, she said.

If you or your children need a break from shopping, amenities include a play area, rides for children, a food court and plenty of benches, Rothstein said.

“But we hope that people come to enjoy the shopping,” she said.

Strollers can be rented and wheelchairs will be available for free.
