Open house, blood drive at Ross Institute

CINCINNATI — Ross Institute of Medical & Dental Technology will hold an open house on Thursday, July 30, to celebrate its new location across from the Tri-County Mall.

The open house will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at the school’s new location, 11590 Century Blvd., Suite 210.

The open house will be held in conjunction with a blood drive hosted by The Hoxworth Blood Center, which hopes to reach at least 30 donors.

The bloodmobile will be located in the parking area outside of the school. Appointments are available from noon to 2:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Hoxworth Blood Center serves 32 hospitals in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Appointments may be made by contacting Laura Telford at (513) 851-8500 or ltelford@rossimdt.com.

“We encourage all residents to participate in a good cause and to learn more about some of the country’s fastest-growing and most in-demand careers in allied health,” said Paul Mitchell, CEO of the Ross Institute of Medical & Dental Technology

Students enrolled at Ross may study the following programs: Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant or Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration.

In addition, students have access to career development coordinators at any of the school’s 15 locations in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. A high school diploma or GED is required for admission for all programs.
