Susan , you must remember that everyone one else EXCEPT the civil minded are right out here. Its perfectly sane in the minds of simpletons to draw an angry conclusion on even the happiest of stories out here. My only advice is to realize we are better than the wasted trash that sits out here 24/7/365 just hoping someone will see their stupidity and thats their warped way of having a conversation. I only wish that the lot of em would move out of mommies basement and get a real life.

I can't believe the crass comments being made here! You mean that NONE of you have ever done ANYTHING absent mindely? None of you have never had a moment of "stupidity", for lack of a better term? None of you have never had an ACCIDCENT of any kind?
The lady struck is very lucky and I suspect the driver feels horrible. Both of them will probably pay a lot more attention from now on.

they were BOTH at fault. that's why there was no push to cite either party. if only the driver had shown negligence, you can bet there would be criminal charges being filed. i don't feel sorry for either one. and i'm sure your back hurts... you just got hit by a fukkin' car!

Does that mean if I run over someone I won't be sited because it was private property? Anyone who hits someone with a car should be cited. Private property or not. Of course if you can't walk and open a soda at the same time you should stay on the sidewalk.

Her back hurts. Sounds like the sale was for candy bars, "It's Payday." Best thing she ever did was to pretend her back hurts. Probably get lots and lots of sodas now.

HA HA YEAH RIGHT. AMERICA THIS IS THE END RESULT OF GETTING YOUR LISENCE OUT OF A CRACKER JACK BOX. IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS DRIVER SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A CAR AGAIN AND THIS POOR INNOCENT PEDESTRIAN SHOULD BE A LITTLE MORE CAREFUL WHILE OPENING HER SODA. I SURE HOPE SHES OK AND DIDNT SPILL HER POP.

It appears, that everyone that has written so far, wants to blame the supermarket for selling a product & not the individuals that were not paying attention for the cause of the accident that occurred in the parking lot. That makes about as much sense as blaming "Mother Nature" for the sunrise & sunset!

All individuals need to accept their own responsibilities of their actions & not point their fingers elsewhere!

she'll probably try to sue Marsh for selling pop or even just being open.

I bet marsh will never have a sale on pop again, normally it's almost 5$ a 12 pack of pepsi...
