OXFORD — A 20-year-old Miami University student is facing a felony burglary charge for allegedly entering the Evans Scholars house, according to police.
A resident of the house discovered several people inside, and was able to stop one of them as they fled at about 2 a.m. Feb. 4, according to a police report.
When police arrived, they charged that person, Jason Ina, with burglary, a fourth-degree felony, according to the report. Ina also was charged with prohibited acts, a first-degree misdemeanor, for allegedly having a fictitious Indiana driver’s license, the report states.
About an hour later, another male returned to the house with stolen fraternity composites, two award plaques and a fire extinguisher. The resident declined to pursue charges against that male since the property was returned, according to the police report.
Ina will appear in Butler County Area I Court for a pre-trial hearing Feb. 21, according to court records.
