Men accused of stealing shingles from Habitat site

HAMILTON — Three men were caught stealing building materials from a nonprofit organization’s home construction site early Wednesday morning, June 10, according to Hamilton police.

Charged with felony theft are Edward Sinkfield, 45, of the 100 block of Forest Park Drive; Mitchell Williams, 53, of the 100 block of Washington Street; and Justin Campbell, 29, of the 1400 block of Old Oxford Road, who also faces a charge of possession of criminal tools, according to police records.

Police said officers spotted the suspects taking 21 bundles of roofing shingles without permission from 246 Washington St., a home building site of the nonprofit organization Habitat for Humanity.

The value of the shingles was estimated at $840, police said.
