HAMILTON — Three men were caught stealing building materials from a nonprofit organization’s home construction site early Wednesday morning, June 10, according to Hamilton police.

Charged with felony theft are Edward Sinkfield, 45, of the 100 block of Forest Park Drive; Mitchell Williams, 53, of the 100 block of Washington Street; and Justin Campbell, 29, of the 1400 block of Old Oxford Road, who also faces a charge of possession of criminal tools, according to police records.

Police said officers spotted the suspects taking 21 bundles of roofing shingles without permission from 246 Washington St., a home building site of the nonprofit organization Habitat for Humanity.

The value of the shingles was estimated at $840, police said.

Since Habitat is a Christian organization, the judge should go Old Testament on these guys and cut their thieving hands off! Well maybe not that extreme but they should not get a light sentence or a plea bargain.

Good job for the HPD for catching these guys, shame on them for stealing from Habitat, they are trying the help people in need that these scum were helping themselves. I agree with The True Chain Gang the police should take these guys over the habitat house on Saturday and make them carry the shingle on the roof.

I sure hope their punishment is to help work on this house and to definitly pack the same shingles they stole up the ladder and nail each and every one on maybe then they'll become roofers or not never want to see another shingle again then hard labor then let them rest in jail forsix months without suspended sentences but doubt that will happen with the SOFT-HEARTED JUDGES we have also if the judge would volunteer his services AND to supervise their work to further assist in their jail time.

Richard Wilson, go back to school and learn to write. If you can't take criticism try working at Taco Bell.
