MORGAN TWP. — One person was sent to the hospital tonight following a two-car accident at the intersection of Chapel and Jenkins roads.

Crews were called to the scene of the accident around 8:15 p.m. An elderly passenger was reported trapped in the vehicle, according to scanner traffic. A medical helicopter was called to transport the passenger to the hospital with head and neck injuries, according to dispatchers.

Dispatchers were not sure to which hospital the injured party was taken. All other people involved reported only minor injuries.

Late Monday night, the sheriff’s office was not releasing the names of those involved.
