The next part in the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Empowerment Series will focus on what women want — less stress.

The Dec. 8 luncheon will focus on health and wellness tips, which was the “overwhelming” response by the surveyed women at the first series’ first luncheon in June, said Fairfield Chamber President and CEO Kert Radel.

Nico Gonzalez is the Balanced Body University faculty trainer, Pilates instructor and trainer. He is also the Area Wellness manger for Mercy HealthPlex on the Mercy Hospital Fairfield campus. Mercy Fairfield is the presenting sponsor for the luncheon.

“He’s going to show people how to do exercise in the office, how they can have better breathing exercises, and low to high impact exercises,” Radel said. “People are looking for a way to relieve stress and get healthier.”

Radel said this program is a “fun opportunity” to receive stress-relieving and healthy tips.

“Women are facing more stress every single day. They have to balance their professional life, their personal life with their family. They have to find that balance and he’s going to be able to help them feel better.”

The Women’s Life Empowerment luncheon will be from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at The Oscar Event Center at Jungle Jim’s, 5440 Dixie Highway. Reservations must be made by Dec. 4. Cost is $25 per person.
