HAMILTON — Certified life coach and adult mentor Richard L. Haid of Hamilton has recently contributed to two new publications in his field.
Haid, who specializes in “third quarter” life coaching for older people, contributed a chapter to “Remarkable and Real!” by Gary R. Jay, which explores client/coach relationships.
“It’s a guidebook for people entering the second half of their life,” Haid said. “It poses some helpful questions for people to consider.”
His chapter concerns his relationship with Mike Adler, a businessman who had suffered a stroke and was dealing with aphasia, “the loss of language and speech but not intelligence,” and asked Haid to guide him toward another career because he could no longer participate in the day-to-day operations of his family business.
With Haid’s help, Adler opened a chain of aphasia centers in the United States and Israel.
“As a coach, it is very satisfying to know I helped him,” Haid said.
Haid is also a contributing author for the ebook “Live Smart After 50: Life Planning for Uncertain Times.”
His chapter is titled “Power of Purpose, Legacy, and Spirituality.”
It will be published as an e-book by the Life Planning Network this spring and as a printed book this summer.
