A two-story duplex at 668 Belle Ave. was damaged in an overnight fire, Feb. 8.
The Hamilton Fire Department responded to a fire alarm was received at 1:47, according to Deputy Chief Robert Harmon.
Five engine companies, one truck company, one medic unit, one command unit and a Safety Officer responded. Units were on the scene for about three hours.
Two occupants were in the two apartments at the time of the fire and were able to escape safely. One firefighter had a minor injury and was transported to Ft. Hamilton hospital.
Damage was estimated at $60,000 to the structure, $20,000 to the contents.
The fire is under investigation.
