ucantbthatatupid, I will gladly give you a transfusion if you are sickly! You didn't address the economic or employment problems in this area. What are your thoughts on those issues? Are you are too ignorant to be aware of such concerns? Now who's that stupid???

So, Diva67, whatever is true for you must be true for everyone else? Do you have any idea how medicine works? If it were so simple, we'd know a lot more, but people are not the same. I mean, think about it. Not everyone who smokes gets lung cancer, but the odds are against you.

I have lived in Middletown 63 years. I grew up with the Armco coke plant. I do not have respiratory problems, nor cancer. Why does Monroe think the SunCoke plant will cause new "damage" to the environment? Are they so fragile that their lungs or whatever else cannot function around the SunCoke plant. Wake up and smell the coffee Monroe! This area is dying from lack of economic development and employment possibilities. Monroe is trying to put the nail in the coffin!!

Sad Monroe has nothing better to spend their money on than blocking jobs........and just how many people in Monroe work at AK and give their tax dollar to Monroe to spend this way?

SO:
The articles you reference sound like Monroe & SunCokeWatch paid for them. It's also interesting that the alibaba purchasing site does not offer a single pound of coke. It's all the COAL used to create coke. That's the same raw material that SunCoke will use in the new facility.

there would be no concern and only excitement if it were planned in an area other than the economically advantaged and the home of middletown's most famous shady lawyer

Let's not forget all the jobs that the increased respiratory disease and cancer rates will bring in. And then there will be increased need for window washers, and even morticians. This is going to be great!

Today’s two articles on SunCoke read like paid advertising.

Educate yourself and realize money in exchange for wrecking health and environment is wrong. Tell AK Steel to purchase their coke on the open market. To be helpful here's the link Purchasing should reference.

This country needs to wake up. We don't want things here or there, not in my backyard. Well let's not worry about it and let China have it just like everything else. These corporations have employed a lot of people and done so much good for the city of Middletown AND surrounding area. Shame on you Monroe for holding this project up!!!

I think the people of the surrounding area of the proposed SunCoke should ban together and have a law suit against the Butler County Gov, the Ohio EPA, and USA EPA, for failing to protect the citizens. Their past decisions have caused our county to be the 5th most polluted county in the USA. Maybe the government leaders are trying for 1st position?

Isia just how ignorant are you, you didn't know 5 years ago? Are you hard hearing and blind? You didn't drive around Monroe looking? All you had to do was drive on Todhunter Rd. and look North. Clean your own siding!

Since I didn't know AK was so close to Monroe when I bought my house over 5 years ago, I want to know if you will pay me to clean my vinyl siding if you get your dirty coke plant built.
