So when will roadrunner increase the upload speed? 768K for turbo is so slow! Go across the river into northern KY and their standard rate service gives you 1MB. Get with the times TWC!!!

I have a dish and the channels pixelate all the time, it is part of the digital revolution so I have been told. Bring back the analog signals I say! They only went out when there was a bad storm.

Your right sassy I don't trust TW any more, got their 2 yr locked in rate LOL for tv,internet, phone and they raised their rate $10 a month more.on the 13th month of the 2yr contract, wasn't told about this going in.and not to mention the channels they drop without any notice to their customers

It's a gimmick, TWC doesn't give away anything. Likely just a preview of a service they want to sell while charging existing customers. I dropped the cable part of their service and put up a cheap antenna from radio shack. Reception is superior to cable, I get over twenty channels free. If I install another antenna I could get as many as 60. Those of you who drop cable you will likely have to enlist the help of the Ohio Attorney Generals office to make TWC stop billing.

They are talking about the DOCSIS firmware update, they can now actually push more data through the same pipes, so technically internet should be getting cheaper. TWC however has realized that people no longer really need cable with a highspeed internet connection and is freaking out. TMC DOES want to impose usage caps, $150 a month for what you're paying 45-60 bucks a month for now. In most areas they are a monopoly, you really don't have a choice if you want fast internet.

Don't give it to them for FREE. Make them pay for it like I do. Do I get a discount on mine since I have to pay for it while they get a quote (sample) of the high speed.

I'd settle for dial-up speeds if they could just get their cable-box program guide to work! That thing is completely un-usable!!!!!! FIX THE SSSSSSLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWWW PROGRAM GUIDE!!!!

And yes, caps are coming. Just like the cell phones, you pay per MB. I just hope they are high enough so those of us who watch video on demand (Hulu, Netflix, etc) don't get blasted the first week. Time Warner is SCARED TO DEATH of this because more people could drop the cable part of their service.

It's a gimmick. If you are downloading small/ medium sized files (10MB or less), this gets the downloading done 10 sec sooner. If your a gamer and download the latest patch to Crysis, WoW or other game, the patch can run up to 100MB. So you get a burst for 30sec then you back down to normal speeds. And it works if the computer or network that host the file is able to access that higher speed.

I'd rather have a monetary discount....

@Harvey. I sincerely hope that they don't put bandwidth caps into place. It has been mentioned before, but no one agreed with it so they dropped it.

It would be killer to universities like UD who gets their outside internet services through TW. Some files necessary to install for classes are 2 GB or so themselves. Imagine students constantly downloading that.

Too bad most internet companies are like this.

Chris - not everyone has alternatives. I am stuck with Time Warner or Earthlink, which is subbed through TW. Road Runner isn't available too everyone. I live in Hanover Twp and a couple miles up the road people have no high speed option, except maybe satellite and that's only if they have line of site.

They just increased my internet service! Now I know why! Thanks for the communicating with your customers, Time Warner!

If available switch to ATT Uverse. Time Warner is not customer friendly.

Just wait, it will be useless when they put usage caps on their "unlimited" service, and everyone can enjoy getting charged per MB or GB of data downloaded.

TimeWarner is not honest. They somehow included Showtime in my package and I know I didn't request it. Then after 6 months, increased my payment. I pay using the online method and I noticed I was automatically paying for Showtime and never watched a show. I called them and explained but still had to pay for it.

So, I don't trust anything they claim.

Lea, the key word there is 'additional'. Their current customers get better performance with no 'additional' cost. Stop complaining. You have alternatives.

No additional cost?

Did they take into account how much they charge for the service to begin with? And they up prices every chance they get. WHATEVER.
