HAMILTON— Hamilton ushers in the holiday season with its tree-lighting ceremony slated for Friday, Nov. 20 on the Front Street side of the Butler County Courthouse.

Entertainment starts at 5:30 p.m. that day, and Mayor Don Ryan will turn on the holiday lights at 6 p.m. Following that will be free carriage rides from 6 to 9 p.m. All Wealth Credit will provide free hot chocolate, and US Bank will provide free cookies, according to Robert Harris, the administrator of the city’s Parks and Recreation Division.

I think this is actually pretty nice! A carriage ride down historic Dayton Lane would be cool! Too bad there is no-where to shop. Those snow-flake lights look really good on the bridge. We need some cheer.
