Jan. 18

Someone took a check for $151 out of the mailbox of a resident in the 900 block of Shuler Avenue and forged his signature to cash it between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Jan. 13.

Jan. 19

A cell phone and house keys to a residence in the 800 block of Welliver Drive were taken before 4:30 a.m.

A city parking meter, valued at $403, was taken overnight from 311 Ludlow St.

A catalytic converter was cut off of a truck while it was parked in the 1000 block of Symmes Avenue between Jan. 10 and Jan. 18.

A dealer license tag was taken overnight from Hamilton Finest Auto Sales, 713 N. B St.

A rear license tag was taken from a car parked overnight Jan. 17 in the 800 block of Shuler Avenue.

A woman reported a man identified himself as a police officer about 3:30 p.m. near Hanover and 11th streets. She said the person gathered all her information and followed her home.

An air conditioning unit was removed from its foundation at the Bread and Breakfast, 217 Cereal Ave. between Jan. 18 and Jan. 19. The business was also broken-in to through a rear door and all of the copper piping had been removed.

About $400 in nursing school supplies and a bank card were taken overnight from a truck parked in the 1100 block of Shuler Avenue.

Six X-box games, a game system and a laptop computer were taken between 2:30 and 3 p.m. from a residence in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue. Entry was through the back door.
