TRENTON — A free H1N1 vaccine clinic is this week for children in Edgewood City Schools.

The Butler County Health Department is conducting the clinic from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in Cougar Hall at Edgewood High School, 5005 Ohio 73.

Children in pre-kindergarten through sixth grades who reside within the district are eligible for the vaccine. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who should bring a photo identification. A representative from the school will be there to verify children’s enrollment in Edgewood schools. Also, officials are strongly encouraging participants to preregister at https://h1n1vaccine.odh.ohio.gov/. Print the completed patient form and take it to the clinic.

Children with a chronic health condition, such as asthma or diabetes, will receive an injectable vaccine; all others will receive the nasal mist vaccine form.

According to health officials, as more vaccines become available, a clinci will be conducted for students in seventh through 12th grades.
