MIDDLETOWN — Model Brooklyn Decker has gone from Madison Twp., to the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

Decker, 22, was unveiled as the 2010 cover girl during the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday, Feb. 8 when a sheet was removed to unveil a billboard version of the cover in Times Square.

Decker, who is married to tennis star Andy Roddick, is shown in yellow bikini bottoms with her arms crossed over her chest and a bikini top hanging over her shoulder..

Decker, 5-foot-10, 120 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes, made her swimsuit debut at 18 in 2006 and was listed as one of the five “Rookies.”

Her 2007 photo shoot caught Roddick’s attention, and he had his agent to contact her. Decker and Roddick, 27, have been married since April.

Born Brook Daniel Decker, she lived with her family in West Carrollton and Madison Twp., before the family moved to Charlotte, N.C. She was discovered at 16 in a mall and began her career as the face of Mauri Simone.

She has been featured in Teen Vogue, GQ, Cosmopolitan, FHM and Glamour as well as in campaigns for Gap, Intimissimi and Victoria’s Secret, and in music videos for Jimmy Buffett and 3 Doors Down.

Her mother, Tessa Moore Decker, graduated in 1985 from Madison High School, where she was class president and a standout track athlete. Tessa met Stephen Decker when they were students at Kettering Medical Arts College.

They were married in 1986 and Brook — named after the horse her mother loved to ride as a child — was born April 12, 1987, at Kettering Medical Center.

The Deckers lived in West Carrollton and in Madison Twp. with Tessa’s parents, Dan and Nancy Moore. They moved to Charlotte, N.C., when Brook was 1.
