I loved to see Hamiltonians out and about this morning - great live music too! What a wonderful way to support local farmers and meet locals. I had a ball and look forward to meeting more farmers in the weeks to come as the veggies and fruits emerge!

Jesse - there are all sorts of cool weather crops. Spinach, lettuce, radishes, peas, and many others all grow well in early spring. I have been eating home grown peas for weeks.

What I don't understand is how these farmers have such a harvest of fresh vegetables this early in the season. They all must have heated barns they grow this stuff in.

Billy, My favorite market is on Rt. 63 in Monroe. It is called the Garver Family Farm Market, they have the best sweat corn in the world and the people are always so nice.

Thank You to all the local farmers markets. You give us the opportunity to bring a safe and healthy product to the dinner table. I have always found pricing to be more than competitive,
take in mind what you are receiving. I do know from a local farmer that their costs have sky rocketed this year with seed and fertilizers.
Does anyone want to name their favorite market?

Can we please get the hours of the Farmer's Market extended past 12 Noon? Some people have to work on Saturday mornings. If the market had extended hours to say 2-3 p.m. that would be wonderful!! It would also help to see more competitive pricing. I would be happy to buy my produce at the Farmer's Market if I saw lower prices than local stores. Last year, the price were actually higher than some of the local grocery store ads (such as corn and beans).
