OXFORD — A high school student walking to school Tuesday morning is OK after being struck by a Jeep.

Around 7:10 a.m., the teenager was in the crosswalk at the intersection of South Locust and West Chestnut streets when she was struck by a 2005 Jeep Liberty, said Sgt. Jon Varley.

Tracey Lynn Moore, 41, of Oxford has been cited for traffic-control device right of way and an expired driver’s license.

Varley said the juvenile did complain of hip pain but was not taken to the hospital after her mother arrived on scene. The girl was on her way to Talawanda High School on West Chestnut Street.

Varley said oftentimes, high school students park their vehicles along Chestnut and walk to school.
