COLUMBUS — Ohio health officials have met with federal agencies to try to nix the state’s bedbug infestation.
Ohio Department of Health spokeswoman Jennifer House said the meeting held Wednesday, Aug. 18, was designed to give federal officials perspective on Ohio’s problem with six-legged bloodsuckers. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Centers for Disease Control said bedbugs are becoming an alarming problem across the country, particularly in states like Ohio.
