HAMILTON — More than 150 community members will be recognized at the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities Community Recognition Dinner today, March 7.
Among those recognized will be several who will receive the department’s annual awards.
The awards and recipients include:
• Community Recognition Award: Nick Argentati, Ralph Barker and Bill Freeland.
• Young Pioneer Award: Al Furter.
• Employer of the Year Award: Butler County Clerk of Court’s Office.
• Volunteer of the Year Award: Members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity of Miami University.
• Lloyd Harris Community Award: David Campbell.
• Jeff and Debbie Crouse Self-Advocate Award: Tim Zellner.
• Fred Valerius Family Lifetime Achievement Award: the Kabel family.
The dinner, to be held at the Cincinnati Marriott North off Union Center Boulevard in West Chester Twp., will begin at 5:30 p.m. The awards portion of the program begins at 6 p.m.
Channel 12 news anchor John Lomax will serve as the emcee and Butler County Probate Court Judge Randy Rogers is scheduled to be a guest speaker.
