Hot Topics

The Hamilton JournalNews had several inquiries as to whether or not the annual fireworks event would go on due to rain and poor weather conditions.

Hamilton's Fireworks Display would never have gotten shot had it not been for some dedicated people that donated their private funds & companies that donated from their businesses for the show. For those of you that chose to complain, you should have "reached into your jeans & pulled out your greens" for a better longer lasting show!

i was at the fireworks and was sitting on the bridge with my 4 kids
ill tell ya what, i have went to the fireworks almost every year and this year was the complete worst
it was a total waste of time, the grand finale sucked, lasted a whole 2 minutes.

now the reason being is i believe they WAS gonna be cancelled, but a few citizens or comapnies volunteered to donate money for fireworks and im guessing it wasnt nothing like any of the other years, THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO HELPED KEEP IT GOING

hamilton isnt the only place that people smoke pot its everywhere. so get a life and get over it if you dont like it go somewhere else and watch the fire works. And the same goes for the bad language.

Wonder if it the same smell I endured at the Fairfield Fire Works?? Wake up all - the Hamilton Fireworks are open to the "public" from anywhere. Sure glad you could tell the foulmouthed pot smoking people had ID's that said Hamilton. And thank your legislators - smoking pot is a MINOR misdemeanor - hardly worth the arrest in any jurisdiction! Some people just want to complain. Thank you Hamilton - the fireworks were great!!

Wow, Hamilton really has gone to the bottom feeders. Nothing like when I was a kid and the families all went to the fireworks and didn't have to explain all the foul language to the kids or what the funny smell was coming from the white trash's cigarette. Never seen a single cop. I never thought I would want to leave my hometown but the *********** have overtaken Hamilton and those of us that work are being taxed to the poor house with nothing in return. I am moving my family.

The fireworks of the city of Hamilton may not be visible tonight. Between the cloud cover and the smoke from all of the illegal fireworks going off in my neighborhood, it all seems a bit hazy here. Tonight, the police department has demonstrated that there are too many officers refusing to enforce the law. We don't need a department that refuses to enforce the law. I think we found how to make up the deficit. Let the sheriff patrol the streets.
