LIBERTY TWP., Butler County — Free H1N1 nasal mist vaccines will be given today by the Butler County Health Department.

The health department announced late Tuesday, Nov. 3, it would be offer the nasal mist from 4 to 8 p.m. that day to people ages 2-49 in Tier 1 who qualify according to the manufacturers’ guidelines.

Those guidelines, according to the county, include:

• People who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age.

• Health care and emergency medical personnel.

• Anyone from 2 years through 24 years of age without chronic health conditions.

The vaccines will be given at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton-Glendale Road in Liberty Twp. The health department is asking those interested not to contact the church. Instead, they are instructed to call the health department at (513) 863-1770.

The department is also asking people to pre-register for the vaccine at:

Gee - sounds like some of you need the rudeness vaccine. I understand Mary totally - we are all worried and want our families to be safe during this pandemic. We have to keep our healthcare workers safe - period. We have enough hate in this world, don't make it worse. As mom always told us, "If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it" and of course "Love thy neighbor"

Thank you to those who chose to respond to my original posting in an informed and appropriate manner. I'm happy for the person who had no problem getting the vaccine on either the Friday or Saturday at the Fairgrounds, but there are hundreds of people, such as myself, who were not so fortunate despite having gone through the steps of pre-registering, as was originally required.

I had no problems getting the H1N1 shot at the fairgrounds Friday afternoon. Took my daughters back on Saturday morning. Once again no problems. Please quit misinforming people. Stand in line and get the shot.

Excuse me, selfish people ****....Mary is a taxpayer and has every right to the vaccine that was paid for our of her tax dollars. All hard working people paid for this vaccine. All vaccines, even the ones the doctors offices will eventually receive were purchased by the government. They will only charge a fee for administering the vaccine, not for the vaccine itself. Mary qualifies as priority in tier 1. She has every right to get this NOW and not have to wait.
